How did it all
start? Ulf had an idea, that's how!
In 1998, Ulf had
an idea to make a pewter membership medallion for a friend's Viking
Re-Enactment group. He had the idea, and thought I could find a
way to make it happen.
We worked
diligently at it for a few months and, sure enough, it did. We
both ended up joining the group and quickly started learning other
crafts from the Viking Age and Renaissance time periods. |

2000, when DragonTear became a company. |

We started
to learn the craft of chain mail armor, continued doing custom
pewter work, and started finding sources for other medieval products for
the group we were a part of. Before we knew it we had people
offering to buy stuff from us left and right.
So Ulf and I
sat down and decided to become an official company in September 2000
and take a booth to the Great Plains Renaissance Festival in
Wichita, KS. We had to come up with a name and decided to go
with one of the first things we created, the Dragon's Tear keychain,
becoming DragonTear Creations. |

Ulf has
moved on to take care of some other dreams. My
wife, Amy, and I have taken over the company. We
have started a path towards expansion, growth, creativity and
fun together that encompasses DragonTear and its ideals
entirely.
We are
hoping to start vending at events again soon
(we took a few years off for our children) so you'll have to keep an
eye out for us! We have strived to create a company with
strong ideals and moral fiber (explained more on our parent company,
Old Way Enterprises, web site: www.oldwayenterprises.com). Because of this we hope you enjoy doing business
with DragonTear Creations!
See you at
the Fair,
Robert & Amy, Owners
